I hope so. First we need something to really bring us together though since apparently our Pokemoning attempts did not work out :/

Also, happy belated birthday to you, Inari! I thought I saw a 7-days notice at the bottom of the board not long ago but couldn't find a celebration thread

This forum is non-gender, and is most certainly not a girl. If anything, it's more of a boy. Sad

It's totally a girl. Only a girl could give me this much trouble.

Basically, the forum is going through a long deserved makeover.

For starters, any unpopular sections will be deleted - as it's only clutter at this point. And some sections will be demoted for space purposes.

Example:

We don't need an entire forum for first-time introductions, we can limit that to just a topic. Neutral

If any of you have any wants and needs, now's the time to voice your opinions.

Hmm, maybe split the bar into 2 sections, combine one of them with the art forum and call it "personal projects" or something to that tune? One thing that seems to connect us despite most not liking Naruto anymore is simply creativity; Karasu's got music, Inari and many more have art, Alan's got his stories and attempting to make movies is my goal.

Speaking of Naruto and diverging interests and the like: why not have a general "fandom" forum? Not everyone's into anime, I personally am not a big video game player and I'm sure you guys aren't huge movie nerds like me, but if we just had one forum for general "fanboyism" it might encourage users to check out stuff that other users like regardless of medium.

Also: we really should try that collab comic thing that peeps wanted to do at the beginning. There needs to be a more solid plan though.

You can honestly just use The Bar for things like that. For example: "______ Appreciation Thread." If done right, you can end up making a topic that's 100 pages plus! D:

We're all really lazy - but I like the idea. If anyone's up for it, let's do it Wink

Hm. I can understand changing the forum's name to something else, especially for Alan and Inari. However, Karasu doesn't post his work at all Neutral

And "Personal Projects" sounds lame... let's work on the new name ^^

In other news, the RP section has been revamped.

RP Announcments: For rules, news on gadgets to use (like dice, points, and etc)
Sign Up Threads: Suggest RP ideas, try to get members to play along.
RP Threads: After you have your members, start your RP here.
RP Threads (Private): For those who want to RP with specific members only - the minimum is two members obviously.

Also, I was thinking of activating a points system in general for the forum - for requests (i.e. trading points for graphics) and etc. Oh, and a thanks/like button. What do you all think?

I like the idea behind that one and would be willing to accept requests every now and then,
either in photoshop or drawing (or the combination). I'm not sure how it would work out fully though.
Care to elaborate?

Also, A thanks/like button will also be useful.

Never got around to updating you all on this idea. However, I have good and bad news:

For starters, the like/thanks buttons are nothing like Facebook. They're basically plus and minus buttons on the side of each post which help to increase a member's reputation (or whatever you chose to rename it.)

There are thanks buttons, but they're limited to one use per topic - but the topic's creator. So you would basically chose your favorite (i.e. "WOW! THIS IS SO FUNNY! I should thank them!) or most helpful (i.e. best art critique) post - and that would be all.

Now for the points system: I would really like to use. For things like requests, as said before. However, maybe we can use points for name changes and um...

...something else. I'll leave it to you guys to think of something really snazzy. Also, we should rename "Points" to something cooler. Such as "Coins" or "Orphans." (The latter will get the forum shutdown probably.)

But for the time being, I will only activate points, unless you all like the thanks/like button. (You all will be really surprised at how many points you amassed so far.) I changed the settings of how many points you earn...

...Typically you get points for creating topics and etc. However, I switched it so that way you get (0) points for creating a new topic (instead of +3); and for messages/replies/etc - they have been changed to (+3) instead of (+1)...

...Why? I think it will encourage much longer "threads" instead of clutter. Lots and lots of topics that just go dead.

Comments and questions please!

Noticed the updates and they seem to be going along rather well. ^^
The points system is still a little sketchy though I can see its usefulness.
Posting within a topic should allot more points than creating one,
although, one must keep in mind to post relevant replies to topics rather
than just posting nonsense for the sake of accumulating both points and posts.
