Name: Hiroto, Ayumi
Age: 16
Height: 5'7"
Gender: Female
Status/ Occupation: Student at academy
Specialized weaponry: None
Chakra type/specialization: Shadow/Void
Kekkei Genkai:
Hypnotizing/stunning/paralyzation though eye contact. Only certain Kagemusha of the Kokuei Clan possess this trait and the genes for it are recessive. When Ayumi activates her ability, her normally blue-gray eyes transform into a pupil-less yellow, and when she makes eye contact with an opponent, her enemy will become temporarily hypnotized or stunned. Three stages exist, though each increasing stage involves more and more energy.
Stage one is stunning for s few seconds with eye contact, which currently is the level Ayumi is at, considering her age and level of training.
Stage two involves longer eye contact, by which the user can effectively paralyze his or her opponent, mentally hypnotizing them to see only the user's mesmerizing yellow eyes for a few, up to several, seconds.
Stage three, the most energy draining of the three, allows the user to completely hypnotize his or her opponent, causing his or her enemy to do what they wish. When his or her opponent "comes to", they remember nothing of their hypnotized period. However, due to the extreme drain of the third stage, and needing an almost colossal amount of energy to even keep it up for more than a few seconds, the one or two Kagemusha who manage to achieve the stage rarely, if ever, use it.
Personality:
In Ayumi's everyday behavior, she gives the appearance of being withdrawn from the center of activity, yet those who know her will recognize the watchfulness that is part of her character. Ayumi possesses an acquired, great self-discipline, aloofness, silence, caution, and focus per her growing up with strict Kokuei Clan parents, treating her elders and sensei with honor and respect. She also knows her nature and abilities, under certain circumstances, could be used for great good, or great evil.
To Ayumi, although she is somewhat of a blood purist due to her Clan's ideology, to her, those that believe that blood purity alone makes a shinobi superior to others, believe in a foolish lie. Rather, to Ayumi, blood purity alone does not make a good shinobi; rather, the shinobi's abilities to be well-rounded, even superior, make the best of ninja, though possessing a Kekkei Genkai helps.
Similarly to a young, female Sherlock Holmes, Ayumi's primary method of learning is deductive reasoning, which she implements in her studies with ease. While far from a genius intelligence, Ayumi is gifted in the realm of knowledge, though her memory is selective at best, strongest in her areas of interest, and her disdain for her weak subjects apparent. However, her family demands, and has taught Aumi to demand, perfection of her, so even though she struggles with her "weak" subjects, she tries her best.
While she respects all the sensei at the Academy to upkeep her family's deep-seated honor, she does not possess the same kind of respect for her fellow students, some of which she views as "childish" and "immature".
Unlike the typical insufferable know-it-all, however, Ayumi's secret is silence. To most of her peers, she appears to be the silent type, observing her peers' actions and behaviors in almost an eerie manner. To some, she seems odd, even "creepy", while others know of her Clan and either fear or respect her for her infamous lineage.
Since beginning her tenure at the Academy, Ayumi has taken up her studies very seriously, and enjoys spending her alone time reading. Removing herself from the normally clique-based, highly social environment of the rest of the "normal" girls, Ayumi considers herself their superior simply because her memory is quite sharp, and prefers to spend a lot of time vesting in her education. In fact Ayumi's philosophy is "Knowledge is power if used correctly", which she believes distinguishes from the "know-it-alls" not just by obtaining knowledge, but using it to her advantage to gain influence, affluence, and power.
Appearance:
Since birth, Ayumi has grown to look much like her mother in face and body, though she carries her father's stern, stoic, and solemn gaze most of the time, almost never smiling.
Bearing a heart-shaped face with a widow's peak, Ayumi possesses long, straight black hair with a healthy sheen to it, which she usually wears down or in a ponytail, or a bun for more formal occasions. Like her mother and most of the Kokeui Clan, Ayumi has dark, almost black, blue-gray eyes set in a slanted, almond shape that is larger than normal in size, framed by thick, long lashes. Her thin lips usually purse into a grim line, and her nose, while proportionate to her facial features, is on the thinner side, while her ear lobes are normal, not attached.
In terms of body type, Ayumi is a slender girl with an hourglass shape, slight curves and longer legs, but thin arms and an almost delicate, mask-like look to her. Like the others in her Clan, Ayumi possess pale, milky white skin, which goes in contrast to the traditional dark clothes she wears. For clothing, Ayumi wears shade of black, deep purple, and deep navy blue, with black shoes, and the occasional black netting or mesh to match her black hair and dark eyes.
Annichole1359's Michiko Hatake would be a good comparison.

History:
Though from a relatively secretive, clandestine clan of ninjas, Ayumi, from a young age, grew up in a rigid, austere household. From the moment she learned to crawl, her parents, especially her father, taught her basic skills and demanded success, sometimes "disciplining" Ayumi for her mistakes and perceived failures. By the age of ten, she could speak three local dialects, and by the time of her enrollment at the academy, her parents both expected great things to come of their child. A member of the Kokuei Clan, before Ayumi even entered the world, when her mother became pregnant, her parents expected nothing less than the best for, and from, their child.
A newlywed couple, Hiroko Katashi and his bride, Takeshi Shinobu, both of the Kokeui Clan, married not for love, but due to a marriage that would unite their families and assure more powerful children for them. One of the only two families in the Clan with the gene for their special Kekkei Genkai, the Hiroko family for decades had carefully arranged each marriage to preserve and keep the gene in their family. When Hiroko Katashi, the eldest son, became one of the most powerful shinobi in the Clan and a key adviser to the Clan leader, the Hiroko family achieved great honor to their name. Soon Hiroko Katashi asked for the hand in marriage of the Clan leader's younger sister, Takeshi Shinobu, and within three months the two were married. Some of the Clan think that due to being close to the Clan leader, Hiroko Katashi managed to get her hand in marriage, as the Takeshi family only allowed the "best of the best" shinobi to marry their family members.
For centuries, the Kokuei Clan abode by a "Spartan" code of ethics, intense fighting and chakra training, and strict arranged marriages, though every once in a while a Kokuei member was allowed to marry out of the clan as long as it benefited the clan through stronger, talented offspring. According to legend, and the chief myth of the clan, their clan founder and forefather, Takeshi Yasu, established these strict principles after discovering, or turning to, what most considered "dark" or "evil" chakra at the time. Though Takeshi Yasu only wanted to live and use his chakra specialty in peace, his village turned on him and tried to kill him, an angry mob chasing him out and forcing him into exile. Retreating deep into the vast Asura Forest on the mountainside of Mt. Ebas, Takeshi Yasu founded the Kokuei Clan, building a new village, which Yasu named Kagegakure, or "The Village Hidden in the Shadows", amid the deep fog that coated the forested landscape.
For the first few centuries after its founding, the Kokuei Clan lived in relative peace, led by Takeshi Yasu, who took the role of their first Clan leader, and over time grew from a few numbers to three times their size due to new recruits and having many children. Under Takeshi Yasu's leadership, the Clan developed a caste system of sorts, ranking those from birth depending on their personal abilities. Seeking powerful, skilled ninjas for defense, and offense if needed, those who learned the shadow chakra's advanced abilities became "shadow warriors", or Kagemusha, made up the Clan's warrior caste. Others who did not adapt to the Clan's strict code and showed less than perfect fighting and chakra abilities were sorted into the healer, artisan, hunter, or herder castes. However, sooner or later some outsider was going to stumble across their "secret" village, and sure enough, eventually a few passersby "discovered" the Koukei Clan and spread word of it throughout the land.
Despite being a relatively remote people, the Kokuei Clan soon experienced a flood of outsiders, some friendly and curious, other hostile, while others still sought to hire some of the Kagemusha as private assassins or spies for other villages or individuals. Soon after, the new Clan leader, Takeshi Yasu's eldest son, Takeshi Ryuu, closed off the village from most "outsiders" after he and the top Clan Kagemusha deemed that any of those not of the Clan could be a dangerous threat. After that, only merchants, artisans, and farmers were allowed to come into the village, and even then, only at the discretion of the Kagemusha guards, who decided whether each newcomer was a threat or not. To this day, the Kokuei Clan remains isolationist, viewing the outside world as possible enemies or threats and focusing on their own harsh existence and survival.
To the present day, the Kokuei Clan is both feared and admired, for their great fighting skills and ninjutsu, as well as the fact that they specialize in shadow and "void" chakra, and some are hired mercenaries or assassins. At the same time, they are a mysterious people, their village "shadowed" in fog and protected by the vast expanse of forest and wilderness that surround their remote establishment.
Only recently did the Hiroko family, seeking the best of education for their daughter, look beyond the Kokuei Clan village and decide to enroll her at the Academy. Though few other Kagemusha joined the Hiroko family, since her enrollment, Ayumi has done nothing but excel, working very hard to improve her skills to become the best ninja she can be.
