meh, pokemon is just a game I play for the Ds; it is interesting to
see how competitive the online battles can get though. XD

As for my creatures, I found I like each of them for I think they will
be helpful during the in-game portion. I don't bother with the online crap...

Then again, I am just an art enthusiast that will use whatever I can as
an excuse to draw something. So hopefully the pic turned out well enough
for to look pass any bias you may or may not have.

You troll. I should buy a few pokeballs and pelt you with them. The 5th generation isn't all that bad - they kind of grow on you in a: "Well, they are the only pokemon available for pretty much the entire game, I might as well like them" kind of way. .__.'

As for the Pokemon concept art, I'm highly biased in liking anything Pokemon - you already know this. So I simply heart this piece. However, that's not much of a critique lol

We've already talked about sizes and stuff, however you've remedied that. I can see why you have them at their realistic proportions - especially now that the background is done. Rather nicely too, and adding the glow to Candle Chibi is an appreciated bonus lol

Your characters pose is pretty solid. I'm unsure of the folded up leg's position though. I look at it, and it seems off, as if the knee is supposed to be point more forward then back - but then it looks okay a second later. (Shrugs) Otherwise, great work.

On another note. Don't be afraid to add a little personality to each of your Pokemon. It's okay to follow the given style - but I'm assuming NOT all Pokemon look completely alike. It makes them more fun to draw. Kind of what you did for your Ninetails way back when =P

whilst on the topic of pk,
I drew another pic....
This one is a tentative design for a trainer,
for an rp a few of us are scheming about.
The houdour doesn't look like a normal one for a
reason, that and I took some artistic license out on him.
All in all, I think I like the total design of these two,
but I'll leave the criticism up you you guys.

@ Hoshiko, practice did help but I can not say I am better
by comparison for I have nothing to compare to. lol
I'm sure if you have kept up with drawing you have
improved alot too. I cant wait to see your art (if you've
had time to draw, between your sea faring adventures and
your little seed lol) you should check out my gallery, because

Well, I know it is a bit early but I was suddenly hit with this idea and I could
not pass up this opportunity to draw it- my halloween picture. ^_^

Anywho - to start with my favorite part of the piece: the pose. It gave me the feeling of "Hey, look dear - there's a photographer. Let's take a picture." So I have a sense of Obeah rooted to one spot, but he and his Ms. are quite lively. Maybe it's because of the smirk Obeah has - or the fact that he's looking directly at me. I haven't a clue lol

The background may be the reason. It's quite fitting for his eerily dank self. The random pattern towards the back reminds me of moving flames and I guess that's why I get a weird sense of "Warmth" when looking at this otherwise "Dark" picture =P

Now to end on with criticism. Some parts of the picture slightly "flat" - as in, although I see attempts at shadowing to give things form... it didn't translate as well. I can look the piece over and miss it entirely though, so I'm sure it's nothing big. However, for instance - like the Obeah's scarf/ascot, I can see the want to define the ripples, ruffles, and etc. Yet, it seems more of a design than anything - maybe if you darkened the shadowing in it, it would become a tad more defined?

Altogether though- it's very nicely done. It's a nice Halloween piece =]

I must say, that dress is quiet slimming. XD

I was starting to bite my nails with concern.
I know there are some aspects with the pic I am not pleased about
(the ascot being one of them) but I wanted to get the
general idea out there and i didnt have alot of time to work on it.
I might go back and refine some stuff in the future seeing as I really
like this pic. *Shrugs*


But yes, how could I refuse that charming grin of Obeah's
allowing him to be the star of the halloween pic. Last year he
missed his chance, so i figured why not. Note this is the orginal Obeah
and not the butler Obeah, there is a big difference in their character....
as you can probably tell....XD

As I said before, it looks really good. I think the darker version suits your trainer better, however...I think the room itself looks better in the light...so idk which one D:
